How can I get involved in missions?

 

          There are several areas that you can get involved. Bethany Church offers two different areas: Home Missions and World Missions. The area of Home Missions involves reaching the lost in America and in your neighborhood. There are several Home Missions churches in the area. Every year, we try to work with one of these churches to help them reach their community. World Missions has several areas that you can help and get involved.  Please feel free to call the office to get details on all upcoming trips and projects.

 

 

  1. How can I support and pray for our missionaries?

         Bethany Church provides monthly support to over 135 Missionaries around the world. Bethany also funds special projects for these missionaries including buildings for colleges in India, Africa, South America, Asia; the building of churches around the world; and special evangelistic and humanitarian outreaches. Bethany also provides funds for special disaster relief around the world. Some of these have included providing funds for hurricane relief, AIDS relief, and earthquake relief.

         You can pray for the missionaries and their families. Each missionary needs fresh vision and guidance from the Lord. You can also pray for protection, encouragement, strategies to reach the lost, and for fresh fire to fall in that region of the world. Pray for the families, wives and children, for protection, support, and wisdom to live in an unknown culture. Pray for spiritual strength and comfort for their families.

 

 

  1. How can I go on a missions trip?
  3.          Every year we plan trips, generally announcing them in the January/February time frame. We select strategic areas where we feel the Lord is calling us to go. Please contact one of the EXCOM members or the church office to discuss the trip possibilities.

             You can touch each mission field from right where you are by joining the U.S. Missions Prayer Team. You will receive weekly prayer requests concerning our missionaries and chaplains. To subscribe, send an email to join-AGHMPrayerTeam@news.ag.org.
